A group of five technicians has created a banner Technicians
Films and produced a Bhojpuri film “CHHOTKA BHAIYA ZINDABAD”.
This film is releasing on 10th July, 2009 in
Bihar with 40 prints. Bhojpuri Super Star Manoj Tiwari,
Rani Chatterji and power packed Villain Tinu Verma
will seen together on screen. “CHHOTKA BHAIYA ZINDABAD”
directed by Jagdish Sharma. All 5 technicians cum producers,
director Jagdish Sharma and Manoj Tiwari are very
happy regarding this film. Manoj Tiwari told to media that
this practical will be open a new way for film industry. I
was also surprised that how it would be happen. How it’s
possible on this questions director Jagdish Sharma says, all
technicians are my best friend and honoured me. With these 5
technicians I have done many films like LASHKAR, SAPUT,
UTHAILE GHUNGHTA CHAND DEKH LE, DEVA, RANGBAJ DAROGA &
DESHSHDROHI. Sudden one these technicians told me that what
we can turn as producer. I told why not. Films are produced
by mind not by money only. Then all 5 technicians come
forward and unite. After that we approached to Manoj Tiwari
and when technicians told their heart views that producing a
film with Manoj Tiwari then Manoj Tiwari was also surprised.
So, this type making of “CHHOTKA BHAIYA ZINDABAD” was
started. Now its ready for release. Songs of “CHHOTKA BHAIYA
ZINDABAD” are already super hit. “CHHOTKA BHAIYA ZINDABAD”
is releasing on 10th of July, 2009 in Bihar with
40 prints. Premier of “CHHOTKA BHAIYA ZINDABAD” will be held
in Bihar and Mauritius. All 5 technicians cum producer of
“CHHOTKA BHAIYA ZINDABAD” and director Jagdish Sharma says

director Sarthak Das Gupta. Shaurya, who is a gymnast, is

altered to her size." But the change was
worth it as the source continued saying, "Though the unit
was compelled to alter Vidya's outfits the result was worth
it. Vidya looked absolutely gorgeous in the shoot." It may

Ghaziabad.
Zulfi, who already owns a
hi-end boutique called ‘Flo’ in Mumbai, has been doing
roaring business, designing for top shots like Sahara
supremo Subroto Roy and cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and
Raina.
Talking about his upcoming
venture with Raina, Zulfi says, “I was wondering how to take
my clothes business further, when we hit upon this idea. The
boutique at Ghaziabad will only be the beginning of a
clothesline chain which Raina and myself have dreamed of.”
Confirms Raina, "Zulfi is a
very good friend and I'm looking forward to opening many
more boutiques across North India. My hometown Ghaziabad has
no such shops and I want to make my city more fashionable
than what it is today. I dedicate my store to my birthplace.
Our people all look good and have purchasing power too and I
think since there are no fashion shops, they would want to
visit my boutique all the more. And I don't play cricket for
all 12 months. So when I'm not playing, I can spend my time
looking after my business and develop it."

to paint in his movie Raaz - The Mystery Continues, actor
Emraan Hashmi has decided to paint for real in his next
venture, Tum Mile. In the movie directed by Kunal Deshmukh,
Hashmi is playing the role of an artist painter. He reveals
that while he first started painting a little during Raaz,
he has taken it to a higher level in Tum Mile.
Fans can see Hashmi wielding the brush as well as charcoal
and churning out authentic creations. Apparently, the actor
is so in love with painting that he intends to take it up
seriously. Tum Mile will be Hashmi’s first movie with Soha
Ali Khan, sister to Saif Ali Khan. He describes the movie as
an intense love story set during the deluge in Mumbai on
July 26, 2005. But the actor plays coy about whether the
movie has a kissing scene and wants his fans to watch it to
find out.

Producer Anupam Mittal's
much-awaited flick '99' is finally released regardless of
ongoing tussle
 between
Bollywood producers and multiplex owners on the issue of
profit sharing.
The star cast of the movie,
which appeals to the young generation, includes Kunal Khemu,
Boman Irani, Soha Ali Khan, Cyrus Broacha, Simone Singh,
Mahesh Manjrekar, Amit Mistry and Vinod Khanna.
The script is the strong
point of the film. Each and every character has a specific
role in the movie.
Now, the film's opened for
public in all the major multiplexes plus in the single
screens of the country.
The story of film revolves
around two robbers, Kunal Khemu and Cyrus Broacha, who
operates illegal business of SIM cards.
Soon they bought a trouble
for them after robbing a car, which belongs to a gangster,
Mahesh Manjrekar. The gangster asked them to pay back the
amount.
And after this, the film
turns serious.
In addition to Khemu and
Soha, Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani and Cyrus are in serious
charaters.
On being asked, why he
released the film at this time, the film's producer
justified his decision to release the movie by saying, "I
was actually caught unawares with the strike. I had
pre-planned to release the film during IPL because it has
cricket as the backdrop."
"We wanted to release the
film in mid April but keeping the producers' stand in mind
we moved the release to May first week. We were hoping that
issue will be resolved in the meeting on May 5 but when
nothing came out of it we were left with no option but to
release the film."
"If I don't do it now I have
to shut down my company," he also said.

director Shakti Samanta passed away last evening ( 9th April
), after prolong illness, in Mumbai. He had also directed
films Bahu in 1954 and then Howrah Bridge. Shakti Samanta
was president of IMPPA & Chairman of Central Board of Film
Certification (CBFC ). Funeral held on 10th April, 2009, in
Mumbai and last ritish held at Santacruz crematorium at 11
am. He was 83 year old and left behind his son Aashim.

murders!
It is an interesting and engaging flick. A thriller with
characters who shuffle between time zones in the mind of the
protagonist seeking answers to the unknown. Unilux Films’
thriller Diamond Murders, directed by national award-winning
director Ashoke Vishwanathan stars actors Rajit Kapur,
Priyanshu Chatterjee, Simone Singh, Victor Banerjee, Raj
Zutshi and others, saw an interesting shoot at BB Bungalow
at Mudh Island.
Other than the quest for the mysterious coveted diamonds
shots with Rajit Kapur, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Toby the
four-legged detective assistant, an interesting underwater
jewel sequence was also shot at the venue with Priyanshu
Chatterjee and Simone Singh. While Rajit Kapur seemed to be
changing from one guise to another, Priyanshu Chatterjee was
haute and happening looking straight out of Tum Bin, while
Kolkatta’s singing sensation June Bannerjee crooned for her
video that starred Simone Singh.
Cinematographer Vivek Banerjee was at his trickiest best
using camera techniques instead of the chroma to shoot
double roles of Raj Zutshi, while director Ashoke
Vishwanathan was seen talking about an interesting sequence
where Sherlock Holmes comes to life in the Bollywood flick
to meet Rajit Kapur. Now that is one interesting sequence,
we are looking forward to checking out as well…

charmed the angels in the grand finale of Knight and Angels!
The six
 week
hunt for cheerleaders for IPL Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is
reaching its climax with the grand finale with none other
than Superstar Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla appearing as
judges. The enthusiasm of the finalists was quite high and
SRK fulfilled the dream of angels to dance with him and he
even made Sourav Ganguly dance with him on Korbo Lorbo Jetbo
the song for KKR. The surprise element in the episode is
interesting trivia round which was designed by Juhi Chawla
for Shahrukh wherein she asks questions to the Angel girls
about Shahrukh the owner of IPL. Shahrukh Khan was at his
best as always and Juhi was equally cheerful. The dance guru
Shaimak Davar was also present. Shantrunjay Gaikwad son of
cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad had danced with angel contestant
Sanna in one of the previous episode so when he returned in
the finals everyone started teasing him to get paired with
him. The previous episodes had Anushka Sharma, Minnisha
Lamba, Malaika Arora Khan, Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone
as judges. SRK and Juhi added the spunk to the grand finale
and all the contestants present were too happy to be the
part of the Knight and Angels. Pranjal Khandhdiya creative
head-non-fiction of Red Chillies Idiot Box, says, “Knight
and Angels the reality show to hunt for cheerleaders has
reached its climax. Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla charmed
everyone and all the contestants were extremely happy to

songs each under a contract struck with Dar es Salaam-based
Pilipili Entertainment Company.
Beby ‘s debut album has nine songs entitled Amor (Love)
which is the title track, say all, Haitoshi, Bounce, Indian
Flute, Mpenzi, Wakati Umepita, We ni Wangu, Kwani Vipi and
Back it Up.
These songs are mainly meant for dance as you Beby is both a
singer and performer. The song Indian Flute is a union of
Kiswahili and Gujarati - it`s quite a kicker.
Feisal’s nine-track album is titled Hope and the tracks are:
Wanakataa, Don`t Cry, Watoto wa Ghetto, Maisha Unayoishi,
Wanachizika, Sina Mwingine, Daima Pamoja and Back it Up.
The producer of these albums is called Pancho Latino. They
featured artistes like Mr Blue, Chidi Benz and Nura in their
albums. Upon returning from India, there will be an official
launch of their albums in May. It is going to be the first
of its kind in Tanzania and will be broadcast live on
television.

who not only cheered the girls with full enthusiasm but also

chosen for International Competition at Fribourg
International Film Festival
Indian-themed cinema seems to be flavour of the times. The
official list of 14 films selected for International
Competition section of the Fribourg International Film
Festival (FIFF) have been announced.
From India, "MOHANDAS" a film directed by Mazhar
Kamran, has been chosen by the selection board of FIFF.
“I am happy that an Indian film has been chosen in
Competition. Especially a Hindi film. Hindi cinema has been
largely ignored internationally, though Bengali and Malyalam
films have been celebrated in the past. For various reasons
there are barriers for Indian films-- and 'Mohandas' also
has songs! So I find it encouraging that European film
enthusiasts are opening up to our kind of story-telling and
taking a serious interest in our film-making.” Comments
this soft spoken director who has been invited to
Switzerland to attend the film festival.
This reputed European film festival, now in its 23rd year,
is dedicated to promoting quality films from all over the
world and this year's focus is on discoveries and trends. It
is widely known for its critical selection. This year it is
headed by the noted film critic from Paris, Edouard
Waintrop, and it will run from 14th to 21 March 2009.
Mazhar Kamran's film MOHANDAS is his debut film as
director. The film has received outstanding ovations already
at several film festivals so far -- from New Delhi to New
York. With this selection, the film has gone notches higher
in the International Arena and is poised to establish its
worldwide acclaim.
Following this, there is another big event for the film
coming up soon.
MOHANDAS has also been officially selected for the 52nd
edition of the prestigious San Francisco International Film
Festival to be held in April-May 2009. This is the longest
running film festival in America and one of the only three

73rd Anniversary
Veteran actor- film maker and CHA CHA
CHA fame Chandra Shekhar and his beloved wife Pushpadevi are
one of the oldest couples in Film Industry, Celebrated
their 73rd Wedding Anniversary in Mumbai, on 1st March,
2009, with their four generation family members.
On this occasion Mr & Mrs Shekhar had donated Rs. 2001/- to
Baby Sonam Ashok Daughter of IMPPA staff member for her
education purpose .
Chandra Shekhar is now 87 year old, but still going strong.
He is very active and take part in all activities of Film
Industry and so he is highly respected by the Employers and
the Workers of Film Industry.

with a Bikni scene in
Aloo Chaat!
Linda Arsenio has done a bikni scene
in film "Aloo Chaat" in Anuj Saxena Maverick
 Productions
produced in association with Robby Grewal's Red Ice Films.
She was not informed about the bikni scene so she was very
upset when she was told to wear one. She put her foot down
and chose to wear a sarong over it as the scene was to be
picturized on Delhi roof where she is sun bathing and all
neighbors come to their roof to see a gori firang having a
sun bath. She may be an American but she is very traditional
in her thought process.Linda is an American who was born
and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is of Salvadorean and
Yugoslavian decent.
She knew at a very young age she wanted to be in films as
she discovered the beauty, passion and power of films that
moved her within and became determined to do the same for
others She played lead heroine role of American photo
journalist in Yash Raj "Kabul Express" that was shot
entirely in Afghanistan. After having the lovely
opportunity to be a part of this production she shortly
thereafter shifted her base to Mumbai and currently resides
in Versova. She was spotted by the producers of Aloo Chaat
in Kabul express and called for a meeting and she landed the
role in Aloo Chaat. She says, "It's true I was not aware of
bikni scene in Aloo Chaat. I suggested that I wear a Sarong
over it and the director Robby Grewal understood my view
point and my suggestion was accepted". Hope her bikni scene
spices up the screen.

Mafia
Ravi Kishan who introduced Bhojpuri Cinema universally has
started producing films and
aims to make films with positive messages for the society.
His home production company Mahadeva Production has produced
Bihari Mafia in collaboration with a corporate film
production company Baba Films. This film is going to be
release on 11th March at Bihar and 20th March at Mumbai.
Ravi Kishan says that Bihari Mafia has commercial cinema
masaala as well as potraying the present day social
reality. In focus are the Mafia of Bihar and U.P. and he has
tried to present the way some vested inerests exploit the
weaknesses of some misguided youth introducing them to crime
world. These same victims then turn into Mafia on their own
and start exploiting others.
Abhay Sinha, of Yashi Films, says that Ravi Kishan has
utilised his career long experience in making this film. The
main strength of Bihari Mafia is its cast, all of them are
associated with stage for long. The technical side of Bihari
Mafia directed by Babloo Soni is very strong too.
Main actors of the film include Ravi Kishan, Namrata Thaapa,
Brijesh Tripathi, Awadhesh Mishra, Shri Vallabh Vyas,
Vandini Mishra, Sikandar Khan and item girl Sambhawna Seth.
Namrata Thaapa is super star of Oriya Films.
In its history of 50 years Bhojpuri Cinema industry has
given dozens of memorable films, but unfortunately only one
film, Kab Hoi Gawna Hamaar, was able to win National Award.
Now Bihari Mafia is expected to end that dry spell of award
less years.
Bablu Soni, director of Bihari Mafia, was associate director
of Kab Hoi Gawna Hamaar. He is famous for bringing alive
real life stories in films. His previous Bhojpuri film Banke
Bihari, MLA too was a grand success. Bablu Soni says until
Bhojpuri Cinema is able to compete with Hindi cinema on same
or better footing, it wont earn the respect that is due to
it. He also denies that underworld is glamorized in this
film and sone particular Mafia is favored by this film. On
the contrary potrayal of Mafia life will force the misguided
youth to revert to civilized society.
Film critics are of the opinion that Ravi Kishan has given
his best in the film. Ravi Kishan too hopes after reviewing
the final product that Bihari Mafia is worthy of a National
Award.

two shows but the response was so great that Balagiri and
Sanjay Lai of K Sera Sera had to book one more screen for
their guest.All the screen were full.Balagiri and Daboo
Malik with Ajay Cahndok came first to receive the guest and
media for the show.Yash Tong was the first to come with

Maverick Production (actor Anuj Saxena's production house)
in association with Red Ice films (Director Robby Grewal's
ptproduction house) has produced Aloo Chaat a light hearted
comedy film which will release on March 13. Music of the
film was launched at Cinemax Andheri with Himesh Reshamiya
as the chief guest. The film marks the debut of beautiful
Aamna Shariff opposite debonaire Aftab Shivdasani. The film
also stars Linda Arsenio, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Manoj Pahwa,
Sanjay Mishra, Dolly Ahluwalia and Meenakshi Sethi.
RDB (an acronym for
Rhythm, Dhol, and Bass) are a Punjabi DJ production team
consisting of three brothers --- Kuly, Manjeet and Surjeet
Singh. They are from Bradford in England and play a blend of
Bhangra, house, UK garage; Hindi, Bollywood, R&B, hip-hop
and dance music came to Mumbai especially for the music
launch and gave a live performance at the music launch with
Aftab and Aamna joining them for shaking a leg. Actor
producer Anuj Saxena addressed the guests and media and was
bit emotional as it is his first production and has a gut
feeling that film will surely do well and it is just a
beginning of a new journey and Maverick Productions is going
to produce many films in future. Anuj Saxena's father
Jagdish Saxena came to bless him as it is his first
endeavour as a film producer.

Chaat and said that the music as well as film should be a
hit. The promo of songs and trailer was played on the big
